This course is important not because diversity is a nice thing to do, but because it’s a must-do. Diverse teams perform better and produce better results. It’s as simple as that. Unfortunately, despite significant spending on diversity and inclusion training across the country, we’re not making much progress. We’re not making progress because we have the wrong mindset. We’re tribal people and this work is hard. Too many of us expect it to be easy.

In this course we’re not going to talk about curing all of society’s ills today. There are of course systemic problems that need to be solved – but this course is about practical next steps you can take today to leverage diversity.
